This book explores how the practice of dramaturgy is shaped by today’s highly diverse fields of theatre, dance, and performance. Through dialogue with fourteen performances and their makers, it traces the thinking-through-practice that underpins these works. The book examines dramaturgical thinking as a material and embodied practice, and understands theatre-making as an expression of that thinking.
